DevOps Engineer

Position: DevOps Engineer
Commitment: Full Time
Reports to: Technical Director
Location: Flexible (Asia preferred)

Travel: limited

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems.
Help automate and streamline our operations and processes.
Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.

Skills:

Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
Wide knowledge of Open Source technologies.
Experience with automation/configuration management, especially Puppet.
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services OpenNebula, OpenStack, AWS. But work experience in OpenNebula is required.
Experience using system monitoring tools, e.g. Zabbix, Nagios, Zenoss.
Strong experience with SQL and MySQL.
Experience deploying and configuring Splunk in local and remote Infrastructures. Any other log file analysis tool experience is a plus.
NoSQL experience is a plus, since we also use Redis.
A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python).
Ability to debug infrastructure related as well as software related issue.
TCP/IP internals.
Good understanding of REST API.
Broad understanding of distributed version control system, especially Git.
Work experience in HAProxy. Any other load balancing tool experience is a plus.
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
Flexibility and desire to work in an early stage startup.
Fluent in written and oral English.

We are seeking experienced and talented engineers from a (primarily Linux) background to further design, build, harden and extend our platform. This will require you to delve deep into the workings of servers, networks, operating systems, virtualisation technologies and open source components.
