Pricing - On Demand

ON DEMAND OVERVIEW: On Demand credits can be purchased at any time and in any amount - and they do not expire.  When using the On Demand option, up to 1 Tb of storage will be allocated for up to 15 days as long as there is activity on a project.   (Contact Support@GridMarkets.com if more storage is required or check out our Subscription Pricing).  Project files will be purged from the render nodes after 3 days of inactivity.  See our File Retention Policy for more details.

A positive credit balance is required to submit render and simulation jobs.  If all credits have been consumed, frames running at the time will continue to run until your GridMarkets Credit Overdraft Limit has been reached (see FAQ "What is the GridMarkets Credit Overdraft Limit?…), but pending frames will not be run.  Once your Credit Overdraft Limit expires, your submission will suspend.   In advance of this happening, we will forward a low credit warning email. Real-time low credit warnings via WhatsApp are also available - see HERE.  Suspended submissions can be resumed once a positive credit balance is restored.

PURCHASING ON DEMAND CREDITS: On Demand credits can be purchased from Envoy or from the "Buy Credits" button below. When using the button below, to ensure that your purchase is correctly credited to your account, please include your GridMarkets ID into the form below (i.e. the email address that you used when you signed up for a GridMarkets account).  

 

 

ASSIGN CREDITS TO A FRIEND/CONTRACTOR: If you would like to purchase credits for a friend or contractor with a GridMarkets ID, use that friend's or contractor's GridMarkets ID in the "Buy Credits" form.

 

ON DEMAND SUBMISSION COST: The credits required for any given submission depend upon the number and complexity of the frames as well as your choice of:

  • Service - your choice of Houdini, Maya, C4D, Blender or 3dsMax (see the "Service" column below).

 

  • Machine Configuration - higher machine configurations consume credits faster while lower machine configurations consume credits slower (see the "Configuration" column below).

  • Machine Concurrency (i.e. how many machines are running at a given time) - a high machine concurrency consumes credits faster while a low machine concurrency consumes credits slower.  We offer several concurrency settings:

    • Economy (up to 5 machines),

    • Standard (up to 30 machines),

    • Rush (up to 60 machines) and

    • Rush Plus (greater than 60 machines). 

 

When 1 to 5 machines are running, the Economy rate applies; when 6 to 30 machines are running, the Standard rates apply.  For more than 30 concurrent machines, the Rush rate applies.  The choice of setting can be changed at any time via the GridMarkets user portal (for which a GridMarkets account is required to access).

For example, if you are using up to 5 concurrent GM1600 machines, i.e. our "Economy Pricing" to run Houdini, each machine-hour consumed will cost $US1.00.  Or, if you are running Maya using between 6 and 30 GM4800 machines concurrently, our "Standard Pricing", each machine-hour consumed will cost $US3.30.  If you are running C4D using between 31 and 60 GM6400 machines, i.e. our "Rush Pricing", each machine-hour consumed will cost $US5.85.

* Costs are represented in $US/machine-hour.  We charge by the machine-second.  Costs are all inclusive (i.e. machine time; operating system and software licenses; data egress and 15 days of data storage are included).

"OB" refers to a machine's approximate Octane Benchmark performance used to deliver the service.

Note: To help balance its machine inventory, GridMarkets may run your submission on the performance equivalent of your machine selection. Your project costs and performance will not be impacted in such cases.
