By now, you have set up and submitted your first basic jobs or simulations and are ready to explore our more advance service features. The information that follows will be useful for studios or freelancers managing projects with demanding rendering and/or simulation requirements and/or are managing projects with tight budgets.
Two features described on this page pertain to setting machine counts and machine power.
Setting Machine Count
The choice of Economy, Standard and Rush determines your maximum number of accessible concurrent machines when rendering. Use Rush, which delivers up to 60 machines, if you are pressed to get a project done quickly. Go for our discounted Economy service, which provides up to 5 machines, if your project is budget sensitive. Your choice of setting can be changed at any time via the GridMarkets USER PORTAL (access requires a GridMarkets account - see HERE).
(Need more than 60 machines? See our Subscription model.)
The chart below shows when Economy, Standard and Rush pricing apply. If you use 5 or less machines concurrently, the Economy rate applies (the green areas in the chart below). Likewise, for between 6 to 30 concurrent machines, the Standard rate applies (the purple area in the chart below) and etc.
Setting Machine Power
Our machine Power Level options for CPU and GPU resources are shown below. These choices can be changed at anytime. Economy, Standard and Rush are explained HERE.
* Costs are represented in $US/machine-hour. We charge by the machine-second. Costs are all inclusive (i.e. machine time; operating system and software licenses; data egress and 15 days of data storage are included).
"OB" refers to a machine's approximate Octane Benchmark performance used to deliver the service.
