Discover the Step-by-Step Process for Creating a Stunning Acrylic Paint Effect in Houdini 20.5 with a remarkable particle count of 85,979,167.
Dive into the amazing process behind creating a stunning acrylic paint effect, achieved in Houdini 20.5. After some weeks of intensive work and with the help of GridMarkets, Manuela Cárdenas demonstrates how to bring this artistic vision to life.
She begins by meticulously setting up the project in Houdini's new Copernicus context, introduced in Beta 20.5. From there, she transforms a specific image by enhancing its primary colors, adding subtle distortions, and applying rich, painterly texture. Through careful adjustments to viscosity settings and extensive testing, including experiments with solvers like Vellum, Manuela fine-tunes the acrylic effect to perfection. She also uses a ladder as a collider to bring out the intricate details of the fluid in the final result.
We hope you enjoy exploring this creative journey as much as we do.
